Are you an experienced Marketer / Account Manager looking for an exciting new role in a dynamic Creative Agency?

Have you got an interest in marketing or design and looking for a new role that will combine people skills with project management? We are looking for an experienced marketer to join the team as an Account Manager; ideally with digital marketing experience and or an agency background (although not essential).

You will have a good understanding of the principles of marketing, and ideally experience in marketing strategy and delivery.

It's a great time to join with some exciting new projects on the horizon, as well as nurturing our current portfolio of clients. The role can be based either full time in our headquarters in Chelmsford, or at our office in Norwich (however initially you will need to spend a min of 3 days in the Chelmsford office for the first 4 weeks whilst training) with at least bi-weekly visits to Chelmsford thereafter.

We are very accessible from all areas of London and the East of England.

Responsibilities of an Account Manager:

  • Day to day contact with key accounts, managing all creative and marketing projects in line with their briefs and requirements.
  • Brand guardianship for all your accounts - working closely with the studio you will be responsible for ensuring brand consistency and quality is achieved across all our projects.
  • Working closely with clients and Account Director to create strong marketing strategies and proposals for future projects.
  • Updating CMS / Websites and keeping track of the projects through our project management software (experience of Basecamp an advantage - but not essential!)
  • Creating creative briefs Liaising with the studio on amends to projects to manage this through and back to the client to agreed deadlines
  • Taking briefs from clients and attending weekly meetings

Experience
  • You will have previous experience in a customer facing role and confident liaising with clients and building strong relationships with both them and the WAF team
  • You will have a good understanding of the core principles of marketing. Digital marketing experience of delivering website projects, SEO, analytics and social media an advantage!
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (ideally in marketing, business, psychology or another creative discipline) or relevant work experience within a marketing role / marketing agency
  • Previous account management experience ideal for an AM role - however if you are an experienced marketer wanting to try Agency side - this knowledge and experience will also be key so this is not essential.
  • You will be happy to learn on the job and be proactive in the way you work and your ideas - we love supporting those who are driven and as a creative agency welcome all ideas to ensure we are continuously evolving.
  • Confident communicating with clients in person, on the phone and via email.
  • Articulate and Numerate – the role will involve some simple copy writing, writing creative briefs and communicating to our clients
  • Organised – The role of an account manager is a hybrid role involving project management and will be required to handle multiple projects at one time
