We Are Fred appointed lead creative agency to brand the city of Chelmsford.
Following a successful pitch and strategy cycle, We Are Fred has been appointed as lead creative agency to brand and position the City of Chelmsford, Essex.
Working with One Chelmsford, the local Business Improvement District (BID), We are Fred will be the driving force behind the city’s marketing eﬀorts to elevate its profile to a national audience and further afield, attracting a high volume of businesses and visitors. The independent creative agency will be designing the brand complete with content creation, along with a mix of high-profile and strategic marketing campaigns which will enhance the on and offline visitor experience.
The marketing campaign will bring together a number of key elements including producing powerful promotional video content for social media channels and driving a complete digital overhaul for the website designed to optimize user experience and interaction levels. With a number of other mini-campaigns planned through the duration of the contract there are lots of other creative projects to be delivered.
The contract comes following the success of One Chelmsford’s recent CM1STMAS campaign which was also created by We are Fred. The initiative focused on promoting Chelmsford as the premier Christmas shopping destination in Essex and successfully increased the footfall of the city during the festive period and boosted the city sales revenue generated by 10%.
We are Fred will steer the city’s marketing eﬀorts over the next four years, supported by Destination media agency who will work alongside the We are Fred team.
